Yesterday we went to the Oncologist. Terry had his port flushed, blood work, and results of MRI and PET Scan.

The PET Scan was fine, with a disclaimer: Because of his neurological decline there was limited cooperation and difficulty positioning him.

The MRI showed the scarring is stable (not changed). Great news!

However, there is a 5mm lesion in the front, left part of his brain. It's suspicious for cancer. It's too small to biopsy, so we'll wait and see if it changes.

We'll go back in May for another MRI.

Also, yesterday, we got new parts for Terry's bed, so it's fully electric. That's a big help!

I'm thinking of putting pictures on here of Terry. Any thoughts on that? I take a lot and some of them are cute and funny. He still has a lot of personality.

Terry had an MRI on his brain this week as well as a full body PET scan. Results Monday....a little anxious. He is fighting some type of infection, we think. He's running a slight fever, saw some blood in his urine Wednesday and Thursday. Waiting for results of a culture. Please keep him in your prayers.

Today his right leg has really been hurting. The PT measured his knees and it's swollen a little. I've been keeping an ice pack on it. Don't know what's wrong. That's the leg that's bothered him all along.

Bright spot of the week...we had a visit from Tom and TyJuana! Tom got him in the wheel chair and took him to the living room to watch Avatar. He loved it! But today he doesn't remember it. :(

Hopefully next week he'll feel better. We should know what's wrong and get him on an antibiotic, if that's what he needs.

It's been another busy week! It started off Monday with blood work. Terry's nurse tried 4 times and then called her supervisor to come try. That nurse was able to get it. I was thankful Terry was resting in bed while enduring that, although it didn't seem to bother him at all.

He took his walks across the room with PT twice this week. On Thursday I hired a sitter for the first time so I could take care of some things (car stuff) and he loved it! I think he enjoyed seeing a new face! He talked to her all day! The nurse and PT came that day, even they commented on how talkative he was.

Yesterday Shannon took care of him and let me run more errands and even go to a movie! I felt sooooo guilty going without him. But, it was good to just sit for that hour and a half. I only had to stop myself from texting Shannon once during the movie. I talked to her just before and as soon as it was over. I was anxious for nothing, of course! He loved spending time with her and she took excellent care of him.

This week he'll have another MRI. I'm anxious to see if the Gliosis has progressed or hopefully not!

The last few days have been very busy for Terry! Wednesday we saw a new Primary Care doctor.
She's wonderful! Yesterday physical therapy started. They exercised his legs and arms, helped him stand a minute and just got to know him. Today they were back for the same and he walked across the room twice! (with 2 therapists helping him)

Just today he had an aid visit, physical therapy and the nurse! It's been a very productive day for him. He's taking a well deserved nap!

Yesterday I took Terry to an appointment at the VA clinic, only to find out the appointment is March 12! Well, thanks to Hal, the transport guy, Terry sat up for a while. He seems to like going places even though he doesn't comment. He was out of bed twice yesterday and already once today! Big improvement!

My prayer is that the damage to his brain has come to a standstill. I'm just thankful for every glimpse of "Terry" that I get.

Hooray! Thanks for the comment Theresa! Now I'm not alone in here.

Rough night for Terry, he was very restless all night. He's had a bath and is sleeping like a baby. :) He fell asleep while I was making breakfast, so it can wait....
